Where it all Begins.…
Strayin’ Anchors hails from Jacksonville Beach, Florida. A small surf town, in the largest geographical city in the USA, the band started out with organic roots in the garage in an alley way and a strong love and passion for all music. It didn’t take long for a shared original sound to develop. The group began playing shows around Jacksonville and St. Augustine having developed an early reputation for powerhouse live performance, playing originals and tasteful covers alike. There are 7 members in Strayin’ Anchors, each bringing a unique musical aesthetic to the band and work together to sound as one, proving that our sum is greater than our parts. Over the years we’ve grown comfortable jumping genres and mashing up influences, to produce a recognizable sound that provides good vibrations to make one feel at home.
Roots
Starting out, we wanted to play music that was going to resonate with people and to leave them feeling refreshed and inspired to take on life’s challenges, as there many and they are unrelenting. All the band members approach life’s physical grind with a positive mindset and have grown together, coming from life’s separate paths, to form one group called Strayin’ Anchors. These Anchors hope for their music to create shared experiences with them and the audience and create a wholesome atmosphere for all. We encourage everyone to be themselves and have fun without limits. By combining these ideal, influences, aesthetics, and talent, Strayin’ Anchors is producing a sound of Rock n’ Roll, Funk, Blues, Soul, and Jazz with sprinkles of Psychedelia and R&B for a sound that everyone can relate to and enjoy.
Growth
After the release of the debut album, “Funk, Blues, and Green,” in February 2022, Strayin’ Anchors have picked up steam and are playing some phenomenal shows in some really cool places with even cooler band. The band has been busy, beginning to play shows along the East Coast and ever expanding our reach. We will be in your town soon. Having opened up for some big names on some big stages and the music being well received, the Anchors got more in the bag with a new single release in September, off the new album release coming in October 2022.

With an upcoming new single release off our new album recorded at the Hideout in Las Vegas, Nevada, in Fall of 2022, the band has a lot of awesome upcoming performances still to be announced.
